Close friends of the late Moonbin have joined forces to release a song in his memory.
On March 28, JTBC reported that Moonbin's friends will release a tribute song on April 19, 2025, in honor of the second anniversary of his passing.
According to the report, the project brings together many of her closest friends, including ASTRO members Cha Eun Woo, MJ, JinJin, and Sanha, as well as Moon Sua, her younger sister and fellow member Billie. Her friends from the 1998 line, including SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan and DK, as well as VIVIZ, are also said to be taking part in the tribute.
Additionally, Dispatch reported that MONSTA X's IM, Kihyun, and Minhyuk, SEVENTEEN's Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Mingyu, Ungjae, Choi Yoo Jung, Kim Do Yeon, SF9's Chani, and Stray Kids' Bang Chan will also be participating. Notably, Cha Eun Woo is said to have played a key role in organizing the project, personally reaching out to his friends.
In response to the reports, ASTRO's agency, Fantagio, shared, "Moonbin's friends will be teaming up to release a new song in April." They added, "This song will be structured as a letter from his friends to Moonbin, and we will share more details about the participating artists and the song soon."
The agency concluded, “We hope this song serves as a comfort and a heartfelt gift to the fans who continue to remember and love Moonbin.”
“How are you, brother?”
This time, I sang a song for the first time, thinking of you. What's it like? Is it moving? The song may not be perfect, but I hope you still know my sincerity.
As I was getting ready, all sorts of thoughts came to mind. Since it was my first time singing to you, I was more nervous and more cautious. I guess I wanted to do you well at it. I wanted to convey my feelings this way.
